A while back, I was given the “Blast the Ball” DvD. After watching the extensive tutorial of how a soccer ball is struck I was really impressed with the amount of knowledge the video displayed. Much like a scientific segment or a complete breakdown of how to kick a ball, the DvD reminded me of a Discovery Channel episode of the finer details often overlooked or simply ignored when it come to passing or shooting technique. Many might argue that the extent of detail or the specifics of skills should not surpass its practicality or it’s acquisition of the skills, but this video really give good knowledge and insight on the understanding and internalization of how the skills performed.
If you’re a student of the game and willing to gain invaluable information on the technical aspects of what seems to be an easy skill such as striking a ball, I suggest taking a look at “Blast the Ball”. As a person who is always checking out a tutorial of any kind on any subject, this was a sure interest when it came to the sport I loved.
