Cooper and I are preparing for the Newport Marathon. As our second Run Beyond Borders Project, we will run the course to raise funds for Middletown California, a small town north of the Napa Valley and home to a beautiful community devastated by the recent Valley Fires. Coopers family has called Middletown and St. Helena home for decades and we visit our loved ones every year. With the fire destruction hitting home at it’s core, this special run is particularly emotional and meaningful.

Overview: The Newport Marathon will take place on October 11, 2015 and feature all of the beauty and grandeur the City By The Sea has to offer. The only marathon and half-marathon in Newport, the course is simply astounding: winding ocean-side roads, miles of waterfront views and sweeping vistas of the grand mansions along Bellevue Avenue.
